Free Human is an original new work play that takes place in 1984 San Francisco, at the peak of the AIDS epidemic. The play follows three friends, one a troubled young artist, another a poignant writer, and finally a San Francisco newcomer. Together, they navigate to a place of being okay. The play is a celebration of queer culture, what has been lost, found, and universally celebrated. Ultimately, Free Human is honoring and remembering the lives that were lost and those who fought against injustice at this crucial point in history.
